After her role in the SBS Drama 천국의 나무 (Tree of Heaven), young Park Shin-Hye will make her big screen debut. She's in fact been cast alongside Jae Hee of 빈집 (3-Iron) and 싸움의 기술 (The Art of Fighting) in the Horror Sageuk 전설의 고향 (The Hometown of Legends), titled just like the legendary horror series on TV - from which it borrows the traditional 처녀귀신 (Virgin Ghost) elements. The film is produced by Studio Box and directed by Kim Ji-Hwan, and will deviate a little from the usual form -- both the J-Horror influenced Summer horror flicks or the psychological thriller/coming of age hybrids like the 여고괴담 (Whispering Corridors) series. Park, who's only 16 but has been acting for a couple of years, will play two roles (twins So-Yeon and Hyo-Jin) while Jae Hee will play their lover coming in the middle. In the film, Hyo-Jin dies in an accident and continues to follow her twin sister as a ghost. The film already started shooting, and will release in theaters this August, adding to the already long list of Summer Horrors. [Yahoo Korea]
