actually mongryong's dad and mom portrayed different roles in my girl, mom was gongchan's (the leading man) aunt , and dad was the family's butler i think, the two were also an item here...the writers just used the names of chun hyang and mong ryong, and their background such as getting married when they were in highschool,et al, but chunhyang's character here is not the same as dgch's. she is the long lost grand daughter who was adopted by a family in japan. the writers just thought of making some similarities to tickle the mind of the viewers and spark more interests in the last episode.

My mom and I have a discussion about these two dramas, as my favourite is Delightful Girl and my mon's is My Girl. However, we both agreed that it's wise of the crew to not make Han Chae Young and Jae Hee appeared so early in the two last episodes of My Girl, as there's a big chance that both of them will "steal" the spotlight from the two main characters of My Girl. What do you think?
re the ratings, based on the report from twitchfilm, , dgch garnered an average of 32.5%, while my girl garnered an average of 24.9% ...though we really cant compare it coz they were not shown at the same period of time.

windcross...yes i totally agree with u , they were the element of surprise in the last episode of my girl, though they were only given a few minutes of exposure. i must say hanchaeyoung and jae hee are the more popular couple of the 2 pairs mainly because people are still craving and clamoring for their tandem even after dgch has ended a year ago...
raymond... i dont have the exact figures on their highest ratings but from what i understand my girl didnt reach the 30% mark.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find the rating list of Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang, however, I remember reading somewhere that some episodes of DGCH surpassed the 30 % rating at the time the drama was airing. Nonetheless, I believe, Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang has more episodes that were closest to the 30 % rating mark than My Girl did.
