It was December last year. Christmas was in the air lol! I decided to go to Quiapo to buy some DVDS. I waent to this particular store and from a far I saw the 3 iron DVD(I am nearsighted I can only see the blurry image of the dvd cover) I got really excited and I immediately asked the seller if I could test it (here in the Philippines, you can test the video to see if it's working well or not) I thought it was working well at that time. When I got home I scanned the videobut my excitement turned into frustration when I scanned the last part. The video keeps on freezing on the last part. I feel so restless and bothered at that time. I'm having hesitation wether I should go back or not but my love for jae Hee got the better of me (thank you mr. restless) and decided to go back on the following day. I got it replaced atlast! I have to scan each 3 Iron dvds andm ost of them keep on freezing except for one dvd.
P.S. A week before I got my hands on this dvd I asked a friend whom I'm trading with at that time to download this movie (he's from france) I should've told him to download other jae hee related movid instead of this one.
Story 2: Sassy Girl Chun Hyang
weeks after I bought the movie, I already promised myself that i will buy this series. But everytime I go to Quiapo they don't have it. Lualm even gave me a number of a seller on another place who has this. Since I'm not that street smart I decided to push my luck again on Quiapo and atlast it was available there, it's the only copy they have. An bsolutely euphoria overwhelmed me.
I don't regreat buying this! it's really worth it.
Story 3: 3 Iron part 2
After a month or so I decided to go to Quiapo again to buy another dvd (but not Jae Hee related) I was rummaging through some music dvds and I saw a stack full of korean movies. Out of curiosity, I scanned those dvds and I found another 3 iron dvd with a different cover. Even though I already have a copy, I bought it because of the cover. lol!
such a shame that the dvd also keeps on freezing. I am now begining to think that 3 Iron dvds here are cursed lol!
actually it was a Friday when I bought my copy... It was supposed to be my first time to go to Divisoria alone but then I asked a friend of mine to accompany me in buying since she's living in Tondo which is near in Divi... When we went inside Divi Mall, I instantly saw this stall which sells korean series... We went there and I asked the seller how much a k-series would cost... She then told me it costs 200... I then asked her if I could get a lower price for it... She then told me I can get it for the price of 190... (nyahaha... it's my first time to do this... and i succeeded... ^-^ ) but due to my excitement and hunger (it was already past 3:00 and i'm not having my lunch yet since our class ends at 1:40 without any lunch break) i was not able to have it checked so when i arrived home, without even changing my clothes, i started to watch it... i watched it from the first epi till the last in just a single sitting... whew!!! and there i realized there were 5 cds which have this defects... it keeps on freezing at the last part (like what happened to kua raymond's cds...) and i also found out that the last episode was missing... so i decided to go back to Divi Mall (Monday) and have it changed... but then ate grace (the seller) told me that there were no new stocks for the last epi since many people who also bought the same series have the same complaints about the last epi so she just gave me an old cd of the last epi... so told me i could watch it till the middle, but then while it is nearing its end, it freeezes.... she told me i could have it change maybe after a week... so i just get the cd and brought it home... but before i went home, i asked her if i could get her number so i'll just txt her to ask if there are new stock... and that's what i did... maybe it's after a week when she told me that she already has the new stock for the last cd... and afternoon on that day i received the txt msg, i hurriedly went to divi mall and have it changed... and every night, i don't fail to watch at least an episode... hehe...^-^

Actually i don't know that this is quite an *R-18 movie...* I don't have any idea till i asked ate grace if she already have a copy of this... she replied me like ... "ikaw ha, bold kaya yan..." (it's a porno movie....)... because of what she told me i actually became confused if i'm going to buy it... knowing that my mom won't allow me to do so, i did not buy it... but then it kept me hanging for the past days until i decided to buy it because i want it to be a part of my jh collection... but when i went to ate grace's stall she told me it's already sold out... (whew!!! i think it's just 3 days that had passed...) so i went upstairs (3rd floor) and looked for it... when i already found it, i asked the seller to check the vcds if they were okey but i immediately told hte seller to stop since i'm afraid that teh public will know what i'm buying... hehe... and on that night... i watched it al by myself... and when i'm getting the feeling that there would be some *not for me* scenes, i immediately forward the scenes... haha... ^-^

nyahaha... i was kind'a stupid asking different stalls in divi mall if they already have the copy of AOF when it's still showing in korea..nyahaha... if you could see there innocent faces looking at me trying to know what's Art of Fighting...^-^
I didn't buy them, I downloaded them and burned them into dvd's and my oh my it took me a lot of trouble, but I love the fun and anticipation that came with it ^_^

it must've been really difficult for you. imagine downloading eahc episode it might take you several weeks to complete the series.

I downloaded them too..I'm kinda dreaming everynight to find a store with kdramas or movies!!In Milan there's a sort of Chinatown,but chinese dvd have rarely english subs..so..GOD BLESS THE NET!Eheh!

Nope,only 3 Iron was displayed in cinemas and so now in dvd,but AOF was never shown in cinemas..maybe next year..but usually they only show movies by very famous directors like Kim Jee Woon or Kim Ki Duk..tha's so saddening!

Yup,it's already a year this month..they were fast also beacuse the movie had success and mostly because it was awarded in Venice!In fact I read that dvd has,as special features,interview to the cast in Venice!!Tomorrow I'm finally gonna buy it and can watch the whole*__*

I FINALLY BOUGHT IT!!!! Well,the special features are quite short,but I so cried when I saw Jae Hee and Kim Ki Duk walking on the red carpet!!I so wish I was there!!!Tonite I'm gonna rewatch the movie^^
