may 1,2006 at 4pm , tokyo le meridian grand pacific hotel, delightful girl chunhyang series lead characters barbie doll han chae young and korea's handsome lead actor jae hee came for a fan meet.
80 reporters were also in attendance that day to grace the event. jae hee was wearing a white suit, while han chae young was wearing a purple backless blouse. at the start they felt amxious, but both carries on a look that conveys a profound friendship.
q: is it ok for everyone to ask questions ?
han chae young : ( in niponggo ) long time no see, im han chae young.
jae hee : how's everyone ? im jae hee.
q: how do you feel towards the fan meeting ?
hcy: when we were about to meet the press, we were anxious at first, knowing fans would be coming later to the meeting, we were also nervous about that. but i also wanted to meet everyone, i am pleased by all means.
jh: i was not anxious before, but when i heard her saying she was feeling that way, i started to feel it too. but i am showing my true self in meeting with everyone here.
q: how do you feel about japan?
hcy: its been a long time since ive been here. there are many places that have changed. i was thinking of going on shopping, but my schedule wont allow me to do so... i have a tv series to shoot when i get back to korea. i also wanted to go sightseeing but i regret of not being able to do so. after 4 years, its only now that i have come back , so i want to meet all kinds of people here.
jh: i feel japan is the nearest country to us. i regret not coming here even once in a year, i find the streets here very clean.
q: regarding dgch, was there any event that arises from it?
hcy: as the series near its end, chun hyang left an impression of hard work, often got tired from the shoots, but all thats left are good memories. our relationship with the staff remained harmonious, until now we are all still good friends.
jh: during the series, we were all happy, though we werent getting enough sleep, we still were very focused during the shoot.
q: now that dgch is coming to an end, what is your message to everyone?
jh: please watch it till the end!
q: what are your latest projects?
hcy: presently i have another series called " fireworks ", premiering on may 13 in korea. i am currently shooting this series.
jh: i have an upcoming project, its a horror movie, a remake. please do watch out for it.
q: are you aware that this series dgch is well loved even in overseas?
hcy: certainly, because as dgch popularity arises, and me getting the role of chun hyang, eventually i also became well known .
q: which do you think are prettier? japanese fans or korean fans?
jh: i think i have to ask my parents regarding this question, which do they prefer...but of course, when in japan you say japanese fans are prettier, when in korea you say korean fans are prettier, so in this way i dont have to run....( everyone laughs )
q: today's fanmeeting will anyone sing? perhaps we can disclose what the song number is?
hcy: sure there will be singing ( laughs ). fanmeeting usually has song numbers. but i dont sing well. hope everyone bears with me.
jh: i had a slight practice during our dress rehearsal. i am not really a singer, ( the audience laughs ) hope everyone will not be disappointed when the time comes. we will give our best performance.
that same day at 6 PM , the fanmeeting starts, around 1,200 persons filled up the hall. there was a vcr showing their intorduction, from film to their real lives. jae hee entered the hall by coming thru the audience, and when they were both on stage, the sound effects and the lights simultaneous went on.the two changed their wardrobes, jae hee wore another suit and han chae young wore a pink lil cute dress.
in the interview jae hee mentioned that he hasnt run for a long time , and it tired him easily now, below the stage people are whispering " how cute "....
