Hey there, I had just finished watching Sassy Girl a week ago and I was just wondering that if it was him doing all those fighting or was there a stunt double? To me, I'm pretty sure that it was all him doing those stunts and the fighting, but I might be wrong. Could someone explain to me?

And on another note, I just wanted to say that this is the coolest forum I've ever been too. After watching Sassy Girl I have been serching on the internet about Jae Hee and I have finally found a site where I can understand more about him. Thanks for making the forum, you guys are awesome!

hi voguechic... i was also wondering if jae hee has some backgrounds on taekwondo coz he seems to have good movements in his fight scenes...an article from twitchfilm stated that jae hee indeed didnt use any double for his fight scenes in art of fighting, that he was hit for more than 50 times...hopefully we can find some news on that in the near future....

btw, we're from the philippines, and we found it hard to comprehend korean and chinese characters used in his various websites, so the webmaster of this site thought of putting up an english fansite for jae hee so his fans from all over asia and other parts of the globe that are non- koreans and non- chinese can understand and learn more about him. we are delighted to know even the littlest details about him and we are more than glad to share these infos with you guys...

I believe jae hee knows a bit of martial arts since before you film a movie or a tv series that will contain alot of fighting scenes, you will be trained first before the actual shooting.

Hi! I think he has some background in martial arts, even if he might have a double, I think he still has to have some knowledge in doing the stunts. From the way I looked at his moves in SGCH, I think he really knows martial arts...taekwondo in particular. He sure does make good kicks. His movements are fast and certain...so i think he had some training.

I agree, I think he was trained in Tae kwon do because espically his kicks are powerful. His spinning kicks and roundhouse kicks were awesome. I think that it's pretty cool how he didn't use a stunt double in the Art of Fighting, maybe he didn't use a stunt double in Sassy girl as well? I dunno those flips and stuff was pretty awesome. Actually in the Sassy Girl dvd, there were extras on the last DVD and I think it talked about the stunts but I don't understand Korean so I had no clue. But I am very interested if he knows martial arts though. I'm going to have my friend translate it for me when she watches the extra so I'll post it here when I find out.

Hey Raymond, well I was on www.hancinema.net and under his picture there was a post board and there was a comment how there was a new Jae Hee English forum so that's how I stumbled upon here.

PS. Does anyone know how I can get a copy of The Art Of Fighting?

voguechic, you can download art of fighting using bittorrent. go search it at www.mininova.org. It has good english subs and the file is in .rmvb form which means you have to use real player or REAL MEDIA ALTERNATIVE (this ones better because it has less invasive software when you download it)

I was watching the video of the Birthday party with his fans and there was a Q&A time and I beleive he was asked about Tae kwon do.. I don't understand but some words but I think the answer was yes he knows.. he even showed and explained one move, practiced it on the host.

hi guys..! bout the topic.. hehe my sister and i have been debating about whether jae hee is into martial arts or someone else does the fighting scenes for him.. but then i really think he is a taekwondo black belt or something.. his skills are similar to my black belt teammates Very Happy

i agree with voguechic.. his roundhouses and turning kicks are just too genuine.. hehe.. and i don't think he would be chosen for his role in the art of fighting if he has no background in martial arts Very Happy

Yeah, when I was watching Sassy Girl his round house kicks and tunback kicks was solid. Like as if he has practice on it many years, and usually kicks in Tae kwon do takes time to perfect it. But as for the scenes where he does flips that was probably a stunt double?

What was your guys favorite fighting scenes? Mine was when he was going to rescue Chung Hyang from the building and he spin around on some table on his hands and then kicked some guy. lol.

hi voguechic...i cant remember exactly which scenes stood out...but i can say that he was very skillful with his kicks and fight scenes, reason enough for me to have an impression that he does know taekwondo....
