SCREEN DEBUT 9 YEARS AGO

I made my screen debut via MBC soap " School " in which i played a youngster's role, but recently i have done a personally satisfying film, 3 IRON. Prior to this movie, i havent done any project in 2 years, i didnt want to do anything at all, i just wanted to rest. Perhaps i was too tired at that time, concurrently thinking of the future ahead. i was fortunate to bag the role of Tae Suk in 3 IRON ,thus regaining my self - confidence.
Drinking

Though i like having fun, honestly i m not into drinking , is there any guy you know here in Korea that doesnt like liquor? Though i dont drink, i like hanging around my friends. I like seeing them revealing their true selves when they're drunk, sometimes they get extermely emotional. And even if i dont drink, i still hang around , laugh and cry and pour my heart out with them.
Living Alone

I definitely love living alone, i watch tv, go to cafe and drink a cup of coffee, or even a mug of American beer. I can move freely and wander around, and i can ponder on my future more seriously. I dont have to rush home, at least if you have 10 peaceful places you will not feel alone, you can still be happy.
Leather shoes and Clothing

Clothes and shoes, to me are being liken as my loved ones. I treat my body as an art. even if i dont consider my clothing casual enough, i once passed the Andre Kim clothing line, (laugh). I treat each pair of shoes and clothes with extra care. each time my friends see me cleaning my things they would jokingly tease me ," are these your girlfriends ?"
Spoiling Mommy

Since my father is not around anymore, and being the only son, i thought of taking good care of my mom. Being a guy, i try to think of how a female would feel, to be able to understand her more and spoiling her eventually...my own way of thanking her for loving me,and making evrything smooth sailing.

this article has confirmed that jae hee is an only son, but im not sure if he is still required to join military service. and its refreshing to know that he does not like drinking, and he likes clothes...that explains his fashion sense, and the best part of it is his deep love for his mom, speaks clearly of his character ...i made the right choice in admiring this person.

jae hee was by himself when he stepped out of the airplane, he was surprised by the warm reception he got from the taiwan fans, perhaps he himself didnt expect so many fans would welcome him. he could'nt stop smiling, and greeted each fan with warmth. i always thought he's just like other korean stars who would hurrily leave the place, but he actually stopped and accomodate all the media . afterwards at the chinese fan meeting, not withstanding the hot weather ,never did he once frowned, and maintained his unique and charming smile...capturing the hearts of every movie fan there...smiling from start to end, often displaying cute mannerisms, like licking his lips, or pinching his cheeks, we were all waiting for his various expressions, his hands gesturing apology. when he heard us shouting " mongryong, we love you ", he happily replied to us," i love you too ", we all felt a certain kind of high, there was also a monitor where fans can watch him there, everyone was screaming at the top of their lungs. later on we were so happy to go up on stage and shook hands with him, i can only say he was really respectful, electrified by his smile, left me speechless, i only can think of good words for him. later on we went to the hotel with him, before entering the elevator, he stayed for a while and greeted us together with the reporters , we had small talks, but then my schedule would only allow me a day, because i have to go back to kao siong, i was regretting for not being able to stay long , so i told my friend at the back to continue the narration. on the day jae hee's return to korea, we went back there once more, we were a group from tainan ,and quite a number of fans from taipei.
ps...jaehee's manager and organizers were also not bad, they treated us kindly and were accomodating too, hopefully by the time he comes back to taiwan and sees the memorabilias, he will still remember us...
i always say ...we chose the right person to love...jae hee....

kbs 2 monday, two of the lead stars from the top- rated series , " delighful girl chun hyang ", chun hyang and lee mong ryong are coming to japan on may 1 , 2006 .
the past year, nhk broadcasted winter sonata which was well received by the viewers, enjoying an intensed popularity among the fans. tokyo myx tv station premiered dgch on march 31 this year, and it also enjoyed tremendous success even if it faced fierce competition.
the 2 stars were invited to a grand fan meeting to be held in tokyo, le meridien grand pacific hotel.
jae hee has gained a huge following in japan when he starred in kim ki duk's film 3 iron, which was shown last march 4, making him even more popular among the movie fans. with dgch started airing in april, his popularity is expected to soar even higher.

korea's most well- loved jae hee and han chae young , while shooting their first kissing scene in delightful girl chun hyang, fell unsuspectingly under the pranks of the staff and crew . they made the two lead stars keep on going in their kissing scene even if it was considered as NG already...
korea's hot fever seems to be no letting up, the tv station management decided to invade the saturday golden 10 pm slot. jae hee and han chae young collaborated in the comedy series , delightful girl chunhyang. though faced with stiff challenges against well known superstars, the airing resulted positively and their popularity still continue to rise.
when this campus comedy series was formally announced and casting was still in the works , jae hee and han chaeyoung's youthful vigor fitted the roles right away . when they conducted a survey among the fans on who the most passionate and romantic actor is on their list, one of the name that surfaced, from last year's 3 iron movie, venice film festival's best actor and korea 's blue dragon best new actor awardee, jae hee. the fans thought the lead actor's physical appearance should be somewhat similar to a heavenly god, ( heavenly god in korea and hongkong likewise means megastars ) and should possess the characteristics such as being kind and charming , a semblance of lee byun hyun or bae yong jun more or less. there's also the wide -eyed han chae young, she gained the monicker as barbie doll of korea because she was once the spokeperson of makers of barbie in the united states. the fans also thought she resembles the mainland superstar 黃奕 very much, and has the same elegant built.
jae hee and han chae young's physical appearance blended well on screen, the 2 hit it off instantly during the shoot, creating a deep understanding between the two. they spent hours getting to know each other more. as jae hee discloses, he was intimidated the first time he met hanchaeyoung because of her aura, thinking she was a cold and stiff lady. never thought he would soon get to see her loosen up and be attracted to her vibrant personality, that she and chun hyang are actually both smart and lively.
interestingly, while shooting the kissing scene, the staff were also capturing NG scenes, initailly the two were at the wrong position, and the angle was not right, the director disliked hanchaeyoung's kiss, they found it lacking in intensity, but they actually let the two stars kiss for more than ten times consecutively, to get the the right angle and perfect shot.
jae hee's original schedule of visit to taipei which is in june was postponed to july, he is excited to meet his fans at the said appointed time.

jae hee stars in the movie, art of fighting. it finally had it's screening, this was filmed after kim ki duk's 3 iron, which received a lot of praises after years of effort and dedication. here are some recollection on aof's shooting days, which jae hee went through many hardships ,he had a serious pelvic injury, and his face was left with several big scars.
1.) being beaten for more than 50 times
q: during the time art of fighting was being shot, you went through a lot of ups and downs.
a: if you've seen me in this movie getting beaten up, in fact when it was being shot at that time, the directors wanted to find the perfect angles, so there were many NGs that reached up to 50 takes, whenever i think of it it still makes my heart palpitates.
2.) no ordinary person
q: is this your first time to play this kind of role?
a: i played a highschool student here , i was often bullied, then later on discovering my own technique. these are the skills hidden for so long that awaits to explode . i used it at a critical time to rescue someone. that's how i got the spiderman- like role.
3.) future plans
q: this movie is much anticipated, what are your future plans?
a: hope everyone will like it, my future plan? after a busy period of promotion, i will take a rest, at the same time i might go back to my studies. if there is a good script, i will definitely not let it pass.

^^yeah he doesn't go for teeny bopper audiences and the easy way out. His works are testimonies on how truly a great actor he is. I feel that even if Jae Hee kills a person or abuses animals (which I doubt he would since he has a great personality), I would still forgive him for his talent lol. At least he has something he and his fans can be proud of and there's no arguing about that

Wow, that's amazing. Those two things he stated sound exactly like me. And it's real sweet that he cares about his mother so much. Too bad he can't come to the U.S. He seems like a real down-to-earth guy, and it would be cool to meet him. The only way for me to meet Korean actors/actresses and directors is at Korean film festivals here in NYC. I was supposed to volunteer at this year's Korean Film Fest, but won't be able to this year =( oh well, maybe next year. Or, if I get an internship/job at Imaginasian TV...

Oh gosh, I'd love to live in Korea too..once I've finished this year in Beijing (I'm leaving the 9th of september,so nervous guys >.<) I wanna go to Seoul for at least 6 months to study korean*___* I've already checked for the school and the accomodation..really hope to achieve this dream

no pressure. if i feel there is going to be pressure then i would have not accepted the series in the first place. that is how i think/ opinion. if there are pressure, i wont be able to perform well. witch yoo hee doesnt put any pressure on me, i 'll make sure i will be giving my best.

because the pds from sassy girl chun hyang invited me , and i accepted it. the reason is i believe in the pd so much and working second time around with him is going to be better. reuniting with the pd also strengthen our bond.

initially everyone will get to like my character here, he has so much charisma. the pd came up with a character such as his to please the audience.

heard your role is a chef and you even went to a restaurant to train, was it hard?
the restaurant was first class, the utensils used were top of the line, the food was superb. we were lucky to be able to train in such a place like that. when you take cooking lessons, you need to have the best quality of utensils. it was important to get the feel of it, the knives, the way you hold it and slice the food to the thinnest. given the chance i would try to borrow these tools, so when i shoot the scenes it will more believable.
-平時好像也很會做家事,做菜,那麼最棒的一道菜是什麼呢?
you do household chores, and cook, what kind of food/viand do you cook?
i have interest in cooking, but i don't have the patience. i dont cook, but when i go out with friends in outings, i do. i am the best cook among my friends, i know a lot of dishes but my friends like the most is fried sausages.

i feel the theory of love psychology between a man and a woman, the best way would be to pursue her one moment and act as if you're not interested the next minute. (laughs.)

the first time we met, was for the script reading. we dont personally know each other. during shooting we only say hi hello , maybe in the long run we will be good friends.
during sgch, fight scenes, even in the movie zigzag love, which is about t be shown, and now witch yoo hee, all have winter season scenes. personally dont like cold weather, i prefer summer. i am scared of cold, but my fellow actors and i are cooperating to come up with a good show and give our best.
